Nordic Walking is a way of walking that uses the whole body. There is a special technique to Nordic Walking which must be learnt in order to use the poles effectively. The poles help to drive the walker forwards, meaning that the walker works much harder than walking without poles.

Nordic Walking is beneficial to everybody. It is ideal for athletes and also for those with medical problems. It uses the upper body and lower body at the same time, burning up to 46% more calories than normal walking. It is ideal for those with knee or hip problems as the impact on the body is reduced.
